In this episode, we take on some king-size monsters for rewards more valuable than gold. New Abilities Learned Lightning – ATB Level (Commando) Recommended Equipment Lightning: Axis Blade, Aurora Scarf, Sprint Shoes Snow: Paladin, Aurora Scarf, Morale Talisman Vanille: Belladonna…
NOTE: The target time is dependent on your level (how far along you are in the Crystarium). Your times will differ from mine, just kill it quickly Here is the way I killed both Orphan forms in order to earn the Superstar achievement in Final Fantasy XIII. Pretty simple method but it works best after you’ve got your characters leveled up some. Might be able to do this if you aren’t leveled up, if so, good for you!

PLEASE READ ¬¬¬¬¬¬ Trapezohedrons at 3:40 First of all, GET A COLLECTOR’S AND A CONNOISSEUR CATALOGUE (to get CONNOISSEUR; level up collector’s catalogue and use a catalyst). Collector’s catalogue= common items up by 50% (from 25- 37.5). Connoissuer catalogue= rare items up by 50% (from 1- 2 or 5-7.5). In this video I go into detail on how to farm gil and there’s a bit on trapezohedrons. I took quite a while on this video, so please appreciate it. Some people are bound to say that I left out farming chips on the Palamecia, and the reason I didn’t include this is because incentive chips, only 2 500 gil, are a rare drop from some military units, whereas a platinum ingot,150 000gil, is a common drop, and by Chapter 11 you can buy a collector’s catalogue to increase the drop rate. Therefore it really isn’t effecient to farm on the Palamecia, especially as it’s only an hour and a half from Chapter 11. As usual, please leave a comment and like, and to see more Final Fantasy videos, check out my channel and subscribe.
The next stage of farming; a sequel to my previous video. This method requires a bit more HP. I have a maxed ultimate weapon on Fang for the stats, but it’s not necessary at all. This is doable with maxed Tier 2 weapons, but you need at least ~2400 Strength to be able to Highwind a leg right after stagger. If you’re having trouble getting Fang’s Strength high enough to Highwind the legs quickly post-stagger, you may want to consult my Stage 2.5 video instead: www.youtube.com Having more ultimate weapons only speeds this up because your party synchronization in taking out the legs will be much better. You’ll want to take out both legs before the fourth stomp. If you don’t, you may mess up the timing with Highwind on the right leg, or in the worst case, you might actually die (not really an issue with a bit more HP). In this video, he got off the fourth stomp after I dropped the second leg, a case of one of those weird ATB hitches where he gets a move off even after you take out both legs. I wouldn’t have been in the red if that hadn’t happened. Again, with a bit more HP, this won’t be a problem at all. My best battle time at these stats was 1 min 28 sec. It depends largely on how you coordinate Vanille and Snow in staggering the legs. This strategy should suffice for pretty much as long as you need to farm. There are better optimization techniques once you are completely maxed (namely using Lightning instead of Vanille), but they’re not really necessary.
