Another Eidolon fight lulz. *Boss* Alexander *Overview* Yes, Alexander. One of the other cool summons of the series. This fight can actually be a tad difficult if you STILL aren’t aware of how useful Sen’s can be in specific situations, but that’s what preparing is for. Hope leaves your party beforehand, so you will not be able to equip or use his CP to level him up, so do that BEFORE he leaves the party. You also, once again, cannot set up Paradigms unless you Retry the fight. I didn’t bother with it, but I did Retry it to get a better run. *Difficulty* 2.5/5 *Paradigms* Hope/Light/Fang Syn/Med/Sen (Default) Med/Med/Sen Rav/Rav/Com *Equipment* Hope: ???? Light: Brawler’s Wristband, Tungsten Bangle Fang: Silver Bangle, Power Wristband *Status* Hope: Strength: ???, Magic: ???, HP: 1520 Light: Strength: 356, Magic: 258, HP: 1720 Fang: Strength: 300, Magic: 197, HP: 1850 **Strategy** You only need those 3 Paradigms to do this. Yields to Chain Bonuses, healing, and buffing. Hope can do all 3, whoopie. Start in Syn/Med/Sen. Alexander hits…HARD. Cast Protect on everyone. Might as well do Shell too, since it raises the Gestalt Gauge. When that’s taken care of, then you can start by going into Rav/Rav/Com. This’ll raise the Gauge very fast. However, you can only do this when the boss is not attacking. When the boss uses Lofty Challenge, it means he’s preparing to do his big attack. You’ll know he’s about to attack when he moves his arms. When this happens, switch to Med/Med/Sen …

Boss 18: Barthandelus (Part 1 of 2) No Crystarium Usage Challenge No Equipment Leveling Normal Battle Speed This was a rather close fight for me. Well, not in terms of difficulty, but I was literally 3 seconds away from getting 4 stars instead of 5 stars, haha. Barthandelus HP: 462000 Strength: 73 Magic: 100 Right Pauldron, Right Ailette, Left Pauldron, Left Ailette HP: 50400 Strength: 0 Magic: 100 Strategy: You’ll want at least Aegisol for the first portion of the fight. Use Relentless Assault to take out the Right Pauldron and then Left Pauldron. Use Diversity or Potions to heal if needed. Next target the Left Ailette. With Relentless Assault, Snow will not attack it because it will be healed by his Ice attacks, so he will attack the Right Ailette instead. With Aggression, Snow will not attack the Left Ailette because Fang is attacking it already, so Snow will attack the Right Ailette instead. Alternate between the two Paradigms so Snow can fill up the stagger of the Right Ailette while Lightning and Fang down the Left Ailette. Once only the Right Ailette remains, use Diversity because it absorbs Lightning’s Thunder; just focus on healing since Thundaga will do some decent damage, though you can dip into Smart Bomb to put Slow on it. Once it’s down to just Barthandelus, switch to Smart Bomb right away; it will save you a lot of trouble to have get Slow on him. Then just use a mix of Aggression and Relentless Assault to get him staggered. Mainly use Potions to heal, but …
